Today I’m finishing up your uncle Tyler’s blanket that I’m making for his birthday. I also made one for your daddy when he was younger. I’ve been working on this for about a month now. Today is the day where I put all the squares together and make it form a blanket.
I always had dreams of teaching you how to crochet and having us crochet things together. I used to make “footy feets” (yarn slippers) for your daddy and his brothers every fall to keep their feet warm over the Winter. I still wear them when it’s cold. My grandma Kippie tried to teach me to knit when I was about 8, but I never really got the knack of it. My roomate in college taught me to crochet and I’ve made many, many things over the years.
