I’ve gotten to spend so much time with you and the other kids this summer!
Today we all walked to Brandt-Quirk Park to play on the playground. You insisted on bringing a huge stick back with you. It was so hot today that we needed to stop in the shade twice and sit a minute and drink water. Then I watched as you guys played in the water for the rest of the day. You guys played with water balloons, ate lots of snacks and soaked up tons of sun.
You had quite a meltdown about splashing water. You curled up in my lap and I stroked your hair and just listened to all the things you thought were so important. I can’t wait to be your friend as you get older. I see you as a perfect replica of me…. Maybe a reincarnation that I get to live all over again. I definitely will be living vicariously through you.
